66 STAR FC Hosted 4 events as
part of Gloucester's Kick It Out week of Action. The events were funded by Kick it Out and The Gloucestershire
Football Association.
The First Event was an an Adult Male World Cup. Held over
4 hours, teams of players from the heart of Gloucester represented cultures as diverse as Jamaica and Iraq.
8 Teams participated.
Group One saw Jamaica, Iraq, Team Asia ( a team comprising
of players with Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani heritage) and England.
Group 2 comprised of Spain
(An international brigade representing various cultures from central Gloucester), Portugal, Africa (players from all over
the continent) and Black Britain.
Eventually the final came down to England v Black Britain. It was
tense. It went to extra time. Black Britain found their second wind and started to pile on the pressure. Eventually England
cracked and the Black Britain team punished them with 3 quick goals.
