SsangYong
helps to keep kids Onside
A generous
donation from car dealers Blade SsangYong is helping to bring the joy of football to young people in Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Onside, the county’s football in the community project, is now the proud owner of a brand new SsangYoung Rodius.
Onside delivers football schemes to deprived neighbourhoods in the county through coaching, events, club development
and community development projects. The Rodius will help to transport coaches, equipment and the project’s lead officer,
Jim Hart, to a wide range of venues in the locality.
“It’s
a major boost to the project,” said Jim, who has managed Onside for the past 18 months.
“It’s
a really practical and user-friendly vehicle, and it’s really helping the profile of our work. We’re incredibly
grateful to Blade for their generous support. In these difficult times it’s great to know that local businesses are
prepared to get behind our work.”
SsangYong
are also the sponsors of promotion-chasing Gloucester City,
who are a major partner in the Onside project along with Cheltenham
Town, the Gloucestershire FA and both local authorities.
