66 Star FC - History
66 Star FC has been a feature of football in Gloucester since 1966.
Many different people have played and been involved in training and managing the various incarnations that have predominantly
focused on being youth teams.
66 Star Utd FC At the time of us forming 66 Star United FC, Bagga was working
with Delroy Ellis at the 66 Star Youth Centre on Seymour Road. Bagga was organising 5 a side football in Star and working
with lots of young players.
Delroy approached Onside with the idea of creating a football team with the name
Increase the Peace FC. I meet with Bagga and Delroy, we agreed the objectives and applied to the Cheltenham Football
league, primarily because they were the only league with their doors still open to applications for that season.
The Cheltenham league accepted our application but asked us to change the name, we agreed to change the name and
decided to use the name of the youth club.
66 Star United FC was registered with the Cheltenham League in the summer
of 2008 and began it's first season in Cheltenham League Division 6.
Season 1 Cheltneham Division 6.
